I’m so excited to share that Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are happening again on Sunday, May 17th, this time in my new studio digs in Black Rock, CT!

These candid and joyful mini sessions are perfect to capture whatever motherhood looks like in your life right now – whether you’re parenting littles or loving on your sisters or celebrating your own momma. And, these sessions make a great gift for all the women in your life who are rockin’ their motherhood journey in their own way!

This year I’m so excited to invite you to join me in my new intimate studio space – with lots of lovely natural light, kid-friendly vibes, and cozy places to snuggle up with your loves. On session day, we’ll have snacks and music and my go-to onset stylist Laurie Kovac to help you feel as beautiful as you already are!

And, just like the last two years, 20% of your session fee will go right down the street to support our neighbors at The Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport. MLC exists to provide literacy and life-skills training to low-income women right here in our community, changing lives for generations to come.

I believe in Love in action — which is exactly what their work is — and I’m thrilled to have your help in supporting these women again this year!

If a reschedule of Mother's Day Mini Session event is required due to public health circumstances, the reschedule will be announced by Sunday, May 10. The rescheduled dates will be Sunday, June 7th and Sunday, June 21. Your session deposit is non-refundable, except in the case of public health concerns or personal scheduling conflict (meaning: you already know you cannot make either reschedule date offered or public health concerns limit our availability to shoot at the studio together on either of the two reschedule dates.)

    Your deposit is 20% of your total booking. The remainder ($260) is due 3 days before your confirmed session date.

    The total cost of your Mother's Day Mini Session is $325, 20% of which will be donated to Mercy Learning Center. To hold your spot and selected session time, you agree to pay a 20% deposit of the total session fee ($65), and to pay the remainder 3 days prior to your confirmed session date. You will be billed via online invoice, and your session balance must be paid in full prior to your session time. Donations are made in one total sum after the event is complete. Financial responsibility in the event of a cancellation of services or event is outlined below in the section titled "Cancellation Policy". A W-9 can be provided upon request.

Sales Tax will be charged only in the event that Client is in the state of Connecticut, and will be charged at the rate of 1% for services related to digital files, and 6.35% for products only (prints, books, etc) outside the initial package purchase. All purchases for this promotion include sales tax. Any returned checks will incur an additional fee of $50.

    These sessions are only available on May 17th, 2020. Should a reschedule be required due to public health circumstances, times will be offered on June 7th and June 21st, 2020. Reschedules will not be available for any other reason. Should Client cancel or need to otherwise forfeit session for reasons other than public health concerns as outlined by the State of Connecticut Department of Health and the CDC, no makeup dates will be available.

All images are the protected copyright of Photographer. The client may share all images that have been downloaded as part of final images on any digital platform and in any printed materials, with appropriate credit where possible to Photographer.

Photographer will maintain active online gallery/archive of session images for download of purchased images for a year from session date, with the expectation that client will download all purchased images and store them for safekeeping on personally owned devices or cloud-based services. Requests for access to images after that date may be subject to a $250 unarchive fee, however, Photographer cannot guarantee image availability.

The client will deliver any expected shot list for the session as a part of a Photographer supplied questionnaire (completed during scheduling step), prior to the session. Photographer will make every effort to capture every requested image on the provided list, but cannot guarantee a final select from provided shortlist. Any requests not communicated in writing prior to the session will be left off of the official shot list.

Client hereby grants Photographer to use and publish images and photographs taken at your session to further promote my services. Including, but not limited to: website, display, social media, advertisement, and editorial use.

Client and associated friends, family, colleagues, and session attendants agree to hold Photographer harmless for any injuries that may occur to any persons in front of the camera during any portion of the session. Photographer can provide a Certificate of Insurance at any time upon request.

Client agrees to protect and preserve all edits made to final selected images (even for use on social media), and will under no circumstances submit final imagery to edits by another photography or editing professional without a release from Photographer.

Client agrees that there will be no other photographers on-site to capture any portion of the session (before, during, after) on session day unless hired by Kristyn Miller Photography.

Client hereby accepts and acknowledges photographer coverage and deliverables as follows:

    • Single photographer coverage for 20-minute mini portrait session
    • Purchase includes photo session, 15+ hi-res images to keep, delivered via online gallery link within 3 weeks of your session
    Additional materials beyond what is outlined above, including framed prints, albums, etc, are also available for purchase and can be discussed once final galleries are delivered.

The client is aware of the Photographer's style and portfolio of work and waives any right to refuse payment or request a refund on the basis of dissatisfaction with the end result. Client accepts and acknowledges that the Photographer will make selects from images captured during the session/event, and RAW files will not be available for client review or selection. Photographer's fee includes one round of minor retouching (for flyaway hairs and stains on clothing) on your gallery of final images, after which additional editing charges will apply on an hourly basis ($100/hour) for each request.

Should Photographer need to fully cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to Public Health concerns), a full refund will be offered or a suitable replacement photographer will be provided.

 Should client choose to cancel a confirmed session within 72 hours of session date, the full balance of the session ($260) remainder will be due to Photographer.

Any delays in or failures of performance by Photographer under this Agreement shall not be considered a breach of this Agreement if and to the extent caused by occurrences beyond the reasonable control of the party affected, including but not limited to: acts of God; changes in regulations or laws of any government; strikes or other concerted acts of workers; fires; floods; explosions; pandemics, riots; wars; rebellions; and sabotage; and any time for performance hereunder shall be extended by the actual time of delay caused by such occurrence.

On behalf of Kristyn Miller Photography, I promise to deliver quality work to the optimum of my ability during the entirety of your session and beyond. I promise I’ll be on time, I’ll be patient with kids, lovers, and families alike, and will generally be an all-around good time, no matter what. I promise to be level-headed, thoughtful, joyful, fun, and resourceful – as will my associates. You’re hiring me because you believe in my work, and I’m working with you because your story is special, and deserves to be captured!
